9/17/1850 Same place. At census time, there were in the family ofJohn Gundy, 54: Elizabeth, 48, Alexander, 20, Elizabeth, 14, Daniel,12, Delila, 10, Rachel, 7, William E, 1, all were born in PA. Johnwas a farmer with $2000 worth of real estate. Next door was HenryGundy, 83, most likely his father. They were the only Gundys in thecounty.

Being in possession of my intellect and in a state of bad health, IJohn Gundy do make this my last will.
My eldest son Henry I give & bequeath the sum of two dollars.
My oldest daughter Susannah, I give & bequeath the sum of fiftydollars.
My second son Alexander I give & bequeath the sum of one hundreddollars.
Also I give & bequeath to my dauther Hannah Elizabeth fifty dollars.
I give & bequeath to my third son Daniel V the sum of fifty dollars.
Also I give & bequeath to Delilah my third daughter fifty dollars.
I give & bequeath to my fourth daughter Rachel Jane the sum of fiftydollars.
I give my fourth son Wm Ellis Browne the sum of fifty dollars.
And I give & bequeath to my wife Elizabeth the balance of my propertyafter all debts are paid & also I give & bequeath to her all thehousehold furniture she may stand in need of. And it is herbyunderstood that she is to provide & support the family.
Moreover it is my will that my father is to be supported with thechildren so long as he will live.
It is my will that Daniel V my son should be bound to have a trade ashe may think suitable for himself & at such an age as his mother maythink proper.
And moreover, I will that my wife should will her property to herchildren in such a way as she may think proper.
