Lewis POWELL
Lewis had died before 3 Oct. 1839 when his son Matthew bought out theother heirs, Mary, Susannah, Lewis, Jr. and Bathsheba the wife ofKenan Merritt (I). Lewis, Jr. served for a time in the War Between theStates and settled in Duplin.
