On Thursday, Nov. 25th, our beloved cousin and brother,John W esley, son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Crockett, fell asleep inJesus in t he 19th year of his age, at the residence of his father,near Salisburg , Greene County Indiana. His disease was consumption.He had been a mem ber of the gospel, and it seemed to be his chiefdelight. He bore his a ffliction without murmuring, expressing no fearof death, even when he s aw the near approach of the grim monster. Heleaves a kind father and m other and a number of brothers and sistersto mourn his loss. Though he h as been taken away from us, we sorrownot as those who have no hope. Ma y we all so live that our death maybe peaceful and happy, and that we m ay finally meet in glory. "
