Mrs. Emily A. Arthur, 84 years old, died at noon Saturday [31 October1 943] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nora A. Speer, one mile eastof S ullivan. Besides Mrs. Speer, she is survived by two otherdaughters, Mr s. T.V.[Ethel] Shelton of Weslaco, Tex, and Mrs. E.W.[Verna] Pridmore o f Tulsa, Okla.; one son, Freelen of Corpus Christi,Tex.; one sister, M rs. Mollie Robinson of Bloomington, Ind., andthree brothers, John Coop er of Jasonville, Hugh Cooper ofWorthington, and Robert Cooper of Newa rk, Ind. Mrs. Arthur was amember of the Sullivan Baptist Church.
The body was taken to the Railsback Funeral Home and later returned tot he residence of the daughter, Mrs. Speer. Funeral services were heldat 2 :30 o'clock this afternoon at the Newark, Ind., Church. Burialwas in t he local cemetery [Greene Co., IN]
