"HON. FRANKLIN T. FRAZIER, (deceased). Franklin Tennessee Frazier wast he third child of Julian and Elizabeth Frazier who reared a familyof t hirteen children. He was born near Knoxville, Tennessee, March16, 1810 . He grew to manhood upon his father's farm, and was educatedat Paris, T enn. He was married the first time to Maria J. Crawford,when he was tw enty-three years of age. That union was blessed withfive children, viz .: George W., Thos. M., Wm. J., James M., andSamuel L. His first wife d ied June 4, 1847, and he was married thesecond time, April 26, 1848, t o Miss Malcena Boone, daughter of Col.Nathan Boone, of this county. By t his marriage there are fourchildren, viz.: Constantine C., Nathan B., L aura J., and Franklin T.Mr. Frazier was elected to the State Senate in 1 858, and was one ofthe ablest members of that body. He met with the Le gislature calledby Gov. Jackson, at Neosho, and voted in favor of the s ecessionordinance. He was a member of Gov. Jackson's staff at the batt le ofWilson's creek, and then went with the army to Arkansas, and live d inFayetteville until 1863. He then went to Collin county, Texas and lived there until September, 1866. He then returned to Missouri andlive d in Saline county, until 1867, and then returned to the farm hesettle d soon after coming to the State, and where his widow stilllives. He c arried on farming upon a large scale, and no man in thecounty stood hi gher in the regard of the people than he. He wasalways an unswerving D emocrat,—never proved recreant to any trustcommitted to his care. He d ied upon the old homestead, December 16,1881, in his seventy-second ye ar and was buried in the family buryingground upon the home place by t he Masonic fraternity, of which he wasa member."
