The Death of Willis Walker At Arcadia
Family Resided In the County Twenty Years
Willis Walker died at his home in Arcadia Monday Evening ofailmen ts which developed into pneumonia following an illness ofseveral weeks . no arrangements had been made for the funeral atnoon, Tuesday, but i t was understood that the burial will occur atArcadia. He was seventy- three years of age.
The deceased was taken to the Methodist hospital at Indianapolise arly last week but was brought home Friday, at which time he seemedto b e getting along very well. He suffered a relapse Sunday andfelled rap idly until the end. Two of his children who reside inPennsylvania and w ho started for the parental home Sunday, did notreach Arcadia until ab out two hours after the death of their father.He is survived by the wi dow, three children, Charles Walker, ofBoylestown, PA; Mrs. Robert Kin g, of Bethlehem, PA; and Mrs. MaryMcNeal of Russiaville, Howard county , and three grandchildren. Abrother, Thomas Walker, and sister, Mrs. M ary Buxton, both of Arthur,Ill, are also living.
The deceased was born in Mineral, Wis, Mar 14, 1853, being a sono f James and Matilda Walker. On December 10, 1891, he was married toMi ss Ellen Fulfer, at Arthur, Ill. The family moved to Arcadia abouttwe nty years ago. Mr. Walker, being identified with the lodge atArthur, I ll, and also a member of the M. E. Church.
