C. Bushrod Taylor, d August 26. 1815, aged 43, and was buried at"Green H ill"; m. Jan. 29, 1801, Martha Peyton Stubblefield (b. Feb.9, 1784; d. i n 1853; on Jan. 7, 1828 she married Thomas Castleman, ashis second wif e. After his death, she removed in 1835 to Slickaway,Fayette Coufity, K entucky, where she purchased the plantation ofElijah Milton. She is bu ried in the Pisgah graveyard, WoodfordCounty, Ky . His home was at "Mo rgan Spring" near Berryville. He wasa trustee of the town in 1798, Jus tice of the Peace in 1811, and asoldier of the War of 1812. They had e ight children.
