"I just started digging in my genealogy again and wondered if anyoneha s a copy of the Lewis R. Powell's will from 1820's Hall County, Ga?I t hink I may have solved the Pressley Powell issue, if I candetermine Le wis R.'s wife's name. She probably also died between 1820and 1830 in H all Co, Ga. This Lewis R. appears to be father to LewisR. and Pressley . He would be the Lewis (son of Elias) who firstappears in the 1790 Bu rke County, N.C. census as newly married (nochildren yet). I believe h e married Elizabeth Ann Pressley (formerlyPresnall) of Virginia (daugh ter of James born 1761 Va, and sister ofJames Pressley Jr. also in Hal l Co, Ga in 1820). John Powell of Va'splantation adjoined the Pressley p lantation inthe 1670's. Thesefamilies migrated together through the ye ars."
