Eloise Lorraine Strine, age 84 of rural West Salem, IL passed intoEter nity on Thursday morning, February 23, 2012, at the home of herdaughte r, who lovingly "sang her home".
She was born August 12, 1927 near Berryville, IL to Blanche (Rogers)an d Sheldon Lynch.
Eloise married LeRoy Moudy on May 12, 1945 and he preceded her indeath o n June 21, 1975. She married Merrel Strine on June 20, 1980and he sur vives.
Eloise is also survived by her daughter Rhonda (Mike) Leek of ruralWes t Salem, IL a son Dee (Alice) Moudy of Sumner, IL, two brothers:Charle s (Mary Alice) Lynch of West Salem, IL and Kenny Lynch ofOlney, IL., e ight grandchildren: Dee Ann Moudy, Twyla Moudy, Halonna(Larry) Miller, L eAnn (Jason) Walkington, Denia (Matthew) Beuligmann,Dustin (Whitney) L eek, Kiya (Kenny) Schanda and Gerald Moudy. She isalso survived by twe lve great grandchildren, four step-children:Joanne (Bruce) Stikkers of S t. Joe, IL, Bill (Kathy) Strine of WestSalem, IL, Bev Higgin of Mt. Ca rmel, IL and Jim (Kelly) Strine ofWest Salem, IL, thirteen step-grandc hildren, and twelve step-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one brother,H arold Lynch and one son, Jeff Moudy.
Eloise was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, West Salem, al ifetime member of the Eastern Star, and was also a member of thePretty W omen Red Hatters of West Salem.
Eloise lived a full life with many interests, which included: flowerga rdening, cooking, baking (her specialties being coconut cream piewith " mile high" meringue, and sweet potatoes). She really lovedbabies, and a ll of her grandchildren; spoiling them was a specialjoy. She also enjo yed music, clothing and fashion and watching FOXnews. Eloise loved God , her church and her family and will beremembered for the advice she l oved to give.
Funeral services for Eloise Lorraine Strine will be held at 10 AM,Tues day, February 28, 2012 at the Zion United Methodist Church inWest Sale m, IL. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery atWest Salem. V isitation will be held on Monday evening, February 27,2012 from 5 to 8 P M at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church.
