Charles E. Van Gundy was born on July 26, 1906 in Kiowa. He departedth is life on April 23, 1975 at his home in Valley Center. Hegraduated fr om Kiowa High School and attended Wichita BusinessCollege where he met h is wife, Vi. They were married on May 23, 1943in Wichita and had lived i n Valley Center all their married life. Hewas a retired partner of Bes t Manufacturing Company. He was precededin death by his parents, Mr. a nd Mrs. A. J. Van Gundy. He is survivedby his widow; a brother, Ralph V an Gundy of Fall River; and a sister,Mildred Schwartz of Kiowa. Funera l services were held Monday atValley Center First United Methodist Chu rch with Rev. Wayne Karlowskiofficiating. Burial was in White Chapel M emorial Gardens under thedirection of Old Mission Mortuary.
