He wonders about brotherStephen, "that account w e was told some very disagreeable thing thathappened him Concarning hi s intermarriage in Carrolinas But we cannot credit it." He tells that t heir brother Samuel lives "ten milesNorth New Lancaster on the Granvil l Road," and has ten children, nonemarried. Thomas lives ten miles Nor th East Near the Bush mill, hassix children. Brother Benjamin lives tw o miles on this side of MountBarnan (?), has seven children. Jammima [ Jemima] has eight children,one married, and lives near Samuel's and mo ther with Samuel. "Motheris growing very frail and Remembers her lov t o you all." Marian diedlast June. Sister Maryann(?) had eight children a live, some in VA andsome here. Stephen asks about Nicolas HOUSER and h is family [hissister Jane]."
