"Martha was a daughter of Tinsley Powell and his second wife,Nanc y Galloway. I don't know very much about her. In her one knownpicture i n the mid to late 1890s, she looks very careworn, but forthe wife of a s mall farmer and mother of twelve children, that wouldhardly seem surpr ising.
She moved with her husband to Marion Co., AL, and died there in18 99 of tuberculosis. He then moved back to Hart Co., GA, with theirchil dren and married her sister. At least some of her children movedback t o Marion Co., AL."
