Jess Collins, 44 of Farmington, but a native of Yadkin, died at ahos pital in Hendersonville at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, and thebody wa s brought to Mackie & Hinshaw Funeral Home here yesterdayafternoon, wh ere it will remain pending the funeral. Mr. Collins hadbeen ill with c ancer for several years and had been in a number ofinstitutions.
Mr. Collins was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Collins, wholi ved on the Boonville highway. He was married to Miss Ruth Speer, adaug hter of the late Rev. Bobby Speer. She survives, with threedaughters. T hey are Miss Nancy Collins of Washington, D.C., MissPatty Collins, who i s taking nursing at Fletcher, NC., and Miss HelenCollins of the home. A lso two brothers, Nelson Collins ofYadkinville, Route 1; Corbet Collin s of Pennsylvania; threehalf-brothers, Junior Collins of the Army; Gur ney Collins ofBoonville; Roy Collins of Yadkinville; two sisters, Mrs . SamSizemore and Mrs. Melvin Sizemore of the Center section;
