Charles was a physician and owned the home free ofmortgage. Nex t door was Uncle Martin Gundy, farther down was AllisonBower, probably r elated through Martin's Grandmother Gundy.
From Twin City News (Uhrichsville, OH), 6/15/1899:
"Dr. Secrist and wife, of Bowerston, spent Sunday here."
They later hosted a family gathering. Same paper, 12/7/1899:
"Mr. and Mrs. Forsythe and son, of Uhrichsville, and Mr. and MrsMichae l Gundy ate Thanksgiving dinner with Dr. Siegrists."
4/1910 Uhrichsville Village, Mill Twp, Tuscarawas Co, OH. Before then ext census the family had moved nearer Emma's parents. Charles andEmm a had been married 12 years with 4 children, all still surviving.The f amily included: Charles Siegrist, 42, Emma, 33, Edmund, 9,Paul, 6, ro nald, 4, and Hazel, 11mo. Charles' occupation was medicaldoctor and o wned his own practice.
2/16/1920 Same place. At census time Charles H Siegrist was 52, EmmaM , 43, the children were the same: Edmund L, 19, Paul F, 15, RonaldF, 1 3, and Hazel G, 10. Charles was still practicing medicine andhad the h ouse paid for, Edmunt was bookkeeper for a garage. Emma'smother still l ived in the same area.
