Jesse was ablacksmith. I n York Twp were S C and Catherine Forsythe, hisparents? There were Gun dy relatives in Goshen Twp.

From Twin City News (Uhrichsville, OH), 12/7/1899:

"Mr. and Mrs. Forsythe and son of Uhrichsville, and Mr. and Mrs.Michae l Gundy ate Thanksgiving dinner with Dr. Siegrists."

6/18/1900 Same place. In that census were Jesse Forsythe, 50, JFranc es, 51, and A Michel, 25, still at home. Jesse and Frances hadbeen ma rried 27 years with 2 children, both living. He was stillblacksmithin g, as was Michael, and owned the home free of mortgage.Three door down w as Benjamin Forsythe, 41, brother or cousin?

4/21/1910 Still there on N Main St. Before the next census Michaelha d moved out, but his daughter Dorothy M Forsythe, 7, lived there.Jesse , 61, and Frances J, 62, had been married 37 years, she had notgiven b irth to more children, both were still living. Jesse stillwas a black smith, their home was free of mortgage.

Jess Forsythe Dies at Uhrichsville Hone
Funeral services for Jess Forsythe, aged 68, who died at his home inUh richsville Thursday from heart trouble, will be held from the homeSatu rday afternoon at one o'clock. Rev. E.E. Whittaker will be incharge a nd the burial will be made in Union cemetery.
Mr Forsythe spent his boyhood near Freeport and Leesville. He was abl acksmith by trade and learned the trade while living at Leesville.
He is survived by his wife, two children M.A. Forsythe of Faith S.D.;M rs Emma May Siegrist of Uhrichsville and six grandchildren.
