Relatives said that she moved to Arkansas and Texas with her daughtera nd son-in-law Eliza and Lewis Evans but she has not been found ineithe r place in any census.

To Hon. Charles Mason, Chief Justice of Gonzales County-

Your petitioners Lewis Evans and his wife Eliza Evans both of saidCoun ty and State and Wm. L. Weddington and his wife Hannah Weddingtonboth o f DeWitt County in said State represent that Sarah Palmer lateof Gonza les County, Texas, departed this life intestate in saidCounty on the 1 0th of October A.D. 1858, leaving a small estate andthat the said Lewi s Evans has been by your Hon. appointedadministrator of the estate of s aid decedent and has filed in yourCourt his inventory and appraisement o f said estate and that all thedebts of the estate have been paid and t hat the only heirs of saiddecedent are her three children to wit the s aid Eliza Evans andHannah Weddington and Margarette Weddington and the s aid last namedMargarette Weddington is the wife of Eli B. Weddington b oth of whomreside in Gibson County in the State of Tennessee, being non-residents. Your petitioners file their bond in the terms of the lawf or the partition of said estate and pray that the same bepartitioned e qually between the said Eliza Evans and HannahWeddington and Margarett e Weddington. The property to be partitionedconsists of twelve negroes a nd some stock and some claims due theestate, as per inventory. Prayer i s made that the said non-residentMargarette Weddington and her husband E li B. Weddington be cited bypublication in the terms of the law to app ear at the March term ofyour Court to be holden in the town of Gonzale s in Gonzales County onthe last Monday in March on the 28th day of the m onth, and thatpartition of said estate of said decedent be then decide d and forequity and general relief.
