Morris R. Reagan moved with his parents to the vicinity ofSevierville, T ennessee in the late 1820's. He was living with hisparents at the tim o f the 1830 Federal Census of Sevier County andthe 1840 Federal Census o f Knox County, Tennessee.
Morris R. Reagan migrated with his brother and sisters to the State ofT exas after their father's death in 1847. There he was living withJohn H enninger Reagan, his older brother at the time of the 1850Federal Cens us of Henderson County, Texas.
He and his first wife Martha Julia were listed in the 1860 FederalCens us of Travis County, Texas. There were two daughters in thehousehold a t that time: S. A., age 3; and J., age 1.
Morris R. Reagan was appointed as a 'mail agent for Texas' inSeptember 1 861. He was the younger brother of John H. Reagan,Postmaster General.
In the 'Annals of Travis County and of the City of Austin' by FrankBro wn, it is recorded that Morris R. 'resided about two and a halfmiles S outh of town, at the Terrill place' and he 'accidently steppedoff the g allery, at night, and was so seriously injured that he dieda few days t hereafter.'
