Descendants said Henry was the illegitimate son of Jefferson and courtr ecords showed Jefferson had admitted paternity. They also believedHen ry was raised by his mother and step-father but it seems hisBinkley gr andparents kept him until at least his teen years.

Most likely Henry was named for Grandfather Binkley but he also hadtwo u ncles with the name, Henry Binkley and Henry Gundy.

4/29/1910 South Fork Twp, Howell Co, MO. The census taker recordeHen ry F Gundy, 51, married 29 years to Mary E, 53, who had birthed 10chil dren, all still living. At home were Leroy E, 27, John o< 23,Robert E , 21, Frederick and Jefferson, 15, Ralph L, 11, and Ruth, 7.Henry was a g eneral farmer, the boys were all farm laborers, some onthe home farm, a c ouple working out. Henry and Mary were born in KY,the children all in M O. Next door was son Harry L, 28, with hisgrandmother Eliza A Peters, 7 2, and Uncle Louis Binkley, 69.

2/3/1920 Same place. Listed in the census as Henry T Gundy, he was62 y ears old, was a tanner and owned the home but with a mortgage.Wive Mar y E was 64, the family consisted of John D, 33, Ruth C, 17,and his 82 y ear old widowed mother, Eliza A Peter. Henry and Marywere both born i n KY, John and Ruth in MO, Eliza in PA. Henry'sfather was born in the U SA. Next door was harry L Gundy, 38,probably his son, also born in KY .
Some say Henry died at Willow Springs, Howell Co, MO.
