MATTOON - Richard Lee Corbin, 68, of Mattoon, passed away at 7:30 a.m.W ednesday, July 30, 2008 at his home. The funeral service honoringhis l ife will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at theCaudill-Ki ng Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rest HavenMemorial Gardens, M attoon, with military rites by Paul McVey V.F.W.Post 1592. Visitation w ill be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home , with Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m. Memorials:Charleston Masonic Lodge 3 5. Richard was born July 18, 1940 atCharleston, son of Arthur W. and I rene G. (Courtney) Corbin. Hemarried Sandra Ruth Hatfill, July 25, 198 7; she survives. Alsosurviving is one son: Ed Corbin of Sullivan; one d aughter: ElleneCorbin of Hume, IL; three step-daughters: Jodi (Dave) T rotter ofMattoon, Teri Whitley of Charleston, and Sheri (Leon) Flood o fMattoon. Six grandchildren: Jesse R. Corbin, Jamie L. Spencer, Courtney J. Spencer, Emile Reece, Dale E. Corbin, and Joey Reece; one greatg randchild: Dallas Nevaeh Corbin; as well as one brother: ArthurCorbin, a lso survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, andtwo brothers: W esley Corbin and Neil Corbin. Richard retired fromAmerenCIPS as a Sub- station supervisor. He served in the U.S. Navy.He was a lifetime membe r of the Charleston Masonic Lodge 35 and amember of the Mattoon Americ an Legion.
