Hereceived a 1000 acre l and grant on Terrys Run on Sept. 28, 1728. Hissons, Anthony Jr. & Will iam each received 500 acres at the same time.

23 July 1763, Anthony signed a deed of gift conveying to his sonWillia m a Negro man named Tom, a Negro boy named Little Tom and afeather bed a nd its furniture; to Anthony Tholson a Negro man namedBob and a Negro b oy named Cupit and a feather bed and its furniture;to his daughter, El iza. Rice a Negro woman named Venus, a Negro girlnamed Mary; to daught er Lucy Step, he lent a Negro woman namedPhilles and a Negro girl name d Creece, to be for Lucy's use for herlifetime and then they and their i ncrease to be divided among Lucy'schildren, also to Lucy a feather bed a nd its furniture; and togranddaughter Jane Pollard a Negro girl named S arah. The deed waswitnessed by Robt. Sharman, William Cave and Benjami n Cave and wasproved in Orange County court 28 July 1763.
8 August 1763, Anthony signed a deed giving to son Jon Gholson a lotof l and bought from Nathaniel Geer, a Negro wench named Judy, a Negroboy n amed Ben, all of his horses and cattle and all other remainderof his e state with the transfer to take place after the death ofAnthony and Ja ne. The deed was witnessed by Roger Bell, John Oakesand Ambrose Smith a nd was proven in court 25 August 1763.
