6/24/1763 VA Benjamin served as juror for the court.

Bennett vs. McNabb.--Chancery. Writ, 3d December, 1771.
Benjamin Bennett (orator), eldest son and heir of Richard Bennett.Rich ard died intestate, 1743, leaving orator an infant. Shortlybefore his d eath he bought 300 acres in Beverley's Manor, but diedbefore getting a d eed. Richard's widow, Martha, married WilliamMcNabb. William McNabb pu t two of his sons, James and Samuel, inpossession of the land. Bill fo r title and accounting of personalestate. Richard had other children b esides Benjamin.
William Thompson, aged 62 (deposes 16th May, 1773), was brother-in-lawo f Martha Bennett McNabb.

18th March, 1783. Benjamin Bennett, of Rockbridge, son and heir-at-lawo f Richard Bennett, deceased, to Rev. Archibald Scott, 245 acresgained b y Benjamin from Beverley by a suit in chancery in 1780 inAugusta Count y Court, being the plantation where Wm. McKnab and JacobGabert formerl y lived.
