In the name of God Amen I BAZIL BENNETT of Spencer County being verryw eak in body but of a disposing mind and memory thanks be to go butcall ing to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it isappointed f or al men once to die make & ordain this my last will andtestament tha t is to say Principally and first of all I recommend mysoul unto the h ands of Allmighty God and my Body to the Earth to beBuried in a decent m anner at the Discretion of my Executor notdoubting but at the General R esurrection I shall Receive the sameagain by the mity power of GoD and a s touching such worldly Estatewhereoff it has pleased GoD to Bless me w ith in this life I give anddispose of the same in the following manner a nd form.
first it is my disire that ll my Just debts be paid out of my estateby m y Executor who is wherein after mentioned.
second it is my desire that my wife MATILDA BENNETT shall shallfreely p ossess all my property of every description that I own aslong as she r emains my widow and if she should marry again then inthat case she is t o own only what the law will allow her and theBallance to be Equally d ivided amongst my children Except LEATHY andHARVEY, LEATHY sixty dolla rs less and HARVY thirty five less than therest of my children the cau se is that they have Received that amountprevious to the time of ____ .
I do appoint MATILDA BENNETT my wife my Executrix to have this mylast w ill and testament faithfully Executed. In testimony I havehereunto se t my hand & seal this twenty sixth of december in the yearof our lord E ighteen hundred and twenty nine.

This should be Basil BENNET b. 20 Jun 1782, Cox Creek, Nelson Co. KYwh o married Matilda DRAKE 1 April 1806 Nelson Co. KY. Said to havebeen o ne of the sons of John & Lucy BENNETT and wife Matilda was thedaughter o f John DRAKE and Rebecca HEADY of Spencer Co. & Nelson Co.KY.
Basil's sister Hannah married Joseph STILLWELL... Matilda DrakeHEAD Y's Grandmother was a STILLWELL.. The COXS, STILLWELLS, TRUAX,WARFOR D, GOODWINS had all known each other prior to KY (back in SW PAand som e of them in NJ before that) .
