Also liv ing with them was his 67 year old Aunt Malinda Elliottwho lived next d oor until she was widowed.

William Lewis Elliott son of Joshua and Anna Hartman Elliott was borni n Spring Point Township, Cumberland County, Illinois on August 15,1897 a nd passed away at the Arthur Auction Co., Arthur, Ill., of acoronary h eart attack September 5, 1962, at the a ge of 65 years and20 days. He w as united in marriage to Grace Oakley of Toledo, Ill.,on July
13, 1919. To this union four children were born. He was united inmarri age to Emma McClain of Montrose, Ill., on July 7, 1951. Early inlife h e united with the Olive Church northwest of Toledo. Bill, ashe was kn own, was a kind devoted husband, father and friend.Surviving are his w ife, Emma, three sons, Carl of Mattoon, Raymond ofItazuke, Japan, Will iam R. of Tol edo, one daughter, Bonnie Ralstonof Mattoon and one step son, Robert McClain of Toledo, Ill.,twobrothers, Ira of Toledo and Elm er of Neoga and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one brother,John ny, who passed away August 19, 1962.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday , September 9 at 2 o'clock atth e Bishop funeral home in Greenup, with Bro. Robert Hayes of Mattoonoff iciating. Casket bearers were Charles Elliott, Lonnie Elliott,Gary El liott, Richard Elliott, and Randy Elliott. Sacred selections,"Kneel a t the Cross," and "Beyond the Sunset," were sung by Mrs.Louise Shupe w ith Mrs. Maurene Shoot at the organ. Burial was in theToledo Cemetery
