Ira Marshall Elliott, son of Joshua and Anna Hartman Elliott was bornJ anuary 19, 1900 and passed away May 12, 1973 at the age of 73. OnMay 3 1, 1924, he was united in marriage to Vivian Myrtle Glosser whodied on A ugust 9, 1936. To this union were born two sons; Walter,deceased and T homas of Los Angeles, California. On October 12, 1937,Ira was married t o Beulah Ann Luthe of Jewett. She also preceded himin death on Septem ber 12, 1940. A stepson, Charles H. (Bud) Luthepassed away October 11, 1 942. A step-daughter, Mrs. Naomi I. Malcolmof Toledo and two grandchil dren survive. Ira a nd Margaret A. Croywere united in marriage on Sep tember 14, 1949 and she is thesurviving widow, together with a stepdau ghter, Mrs. Virginia Bowmanand o ne grandson, Mark, of Toledo. Ira El liott was a life longresident of Cumberla nd County, a veteran of Worl d War II and anactive member of American Legion Post no. 764. Survivo rs include hiswidow Margaret, of Toledo, one son Thomas L. of Los Ange les, twostepdaughters, Mrs. Naomi Malcolm and Mrs. Virginia Bowman, th reegrandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Frances Helgerson, Mattoon,
one brother, Elmer, of Neoga, 4 nieces and 12 nephews. Two brothersJoh n of Washi ngton and Bill of Toledo, preceded Ira in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Christian Church inToledo w ith Rev. Bill Scattergood of Washington, Ill., and Rev.Richard Cook of ficiating. Services were at 2:00 P.M. on May 15, 1973and interment was a t the Elliott Cemetery. Pallbearers were : GeneNichols, Harlan Brown, R ex Eagleson, John McClain, Rex Ballinger andWaymond Croy. Honorary pal lbearers were members of the ToledoAmerican Legion Post.
