Leander Teel, great-grandson of Adam Link, in an affidavit stated thatA dam Link's father was John Link and that the family had moved toFayett e Co, PA, when Adam was six years old. (His mother had notdied, as at l east one other source has said.) Ref. History ofCrawford Co, Ohio, by C hapman, pub 1881, p 903.
(Referring to the Adam Link who was one of the last six surviving AmRe v soldiers and the John Link who was killed by Indians at Link'sBlockh ouse, Wheeling, 1781. Thus Maria Susanna Margaretha [Margaret]Zumwalt, J ohn Link's wife, would have been Adam Link's mother.)
