Notes for John DAILY


Mary Skiles left a small legacy to grandson John Daily in her will of1 1 August 1815. He remained under guardianship in Rowan County until182 0.

9/5/1833 Washington Co, IN. John purchased land there on that date.



11/16/1843 John gave land to the trustees of the Church of Christ atF ranklin Meeting House which is now Bunker Hill Church.

2/21/1844 John received land fom Marmaduke S. Coker and his wife, whow as John's half-sister.

10/17/1850 Franklin Twp, Washington Co, IN. Some say John taughtscho ol in a log house on "Old Labon Stewart Place." but by censusthat year h e was a 50 year old farmer with $400 in real estate, abachelor, living w ith the family of Joseph and Mary Lockenour.

No further records have been found for him.
