Charlotte Flashes - Frank Porter was born in Illinois September 15,184 9, and died March 12th, 1915, at his home three miles northeast ofVirg inia. He came to Missouri in 1870 with his parents and settlednear whe re he died. He has lived in Charlotte township ever since.Two daughter s by his first wife, who died a number of years ago andhis second wife , two daughters, one son and a step son survive him.His funeral was pr eached at the house at 2 p.m. Sunday by Rev.Stillion and his remains w ere laid to rest in the Howell cemetery.
