Her father died and left an estate to her and Peter:

"Peter Stubblefield and his wife Peggy of the State of Georgia; EvansL ong and Lucy his wife ot Spotsylvania County; James Smith and Sallyhis w ife of the same County;Zachariah Lucas and Polly Harrison hiswife of t he same county; Richard Long and Fanny his wife of the sameCounty;to T homas Coleman, Jr. Whereas John Apperson Deceased,did byhis last will a nd testament devise to his daughter Peggy wife of theabove named Peter S tubblefield, 200 acres part of a tract purchasedby the said Apperson o f John Carthrae and James Somerville for hernatural life and in case t he said Peggy should die without issue thesaid land to be equally divi ded amongst his other children viz thesaid Lucy wife of Evans Long; th e said Sally wife of James Smith;Polly Harrison( who has since interma rried Zachariah Lucas ) and saidFanny (who has since intermarried with R ichard Long) or the survivorsEtc.and whereas the said Evans long and h is wife, James Smith and hisWife, Zachariah Lucas and his wife, Richar d Long and his wife havingagreed to relinquish the said Peter Stubblef ield and his wife Peggyall their right, title etc. as aforementioned a nd so do by theirbeing parties to these Present etc,, the said Peter S tubblefield andPeggy his wife for the sum of_____Pounds convey the sai d land (withthe other parties they having paid 5 shillings each) to th e saidColeman."
