10/1/1798 Berkeley Parish, Spotsylvania Co, VA. Col Harry's name waso n the tax list of slaves. He had 10, more than average, so he musthav e had a fairly large plantation.

And for his dwelling, same date:

His dwelling was on a 2 acre plot on the bluff and consisted of a 1sto ry wood structure measuring 18x16 with 6 windows, 32 lights (8 &10), t he log kitchen was covered with boards and measured 14x12, the16x12 co rn house was also covered with boards. The assessor valuedthe place a t 140 (?).
