The 1870 census recorded Rebecca as a 41 year old widow living withher c hildren in Greenfield, Greene Co, IL.
In 1880 she was 50 and living in Roodhouse, Greene Co, IL with 3childr en and a 2 year old grandson.

"My dad says that his grandma told him that she traveled with theIndia ns as a child. Supposedly there is a Bible that tells that shewas part C row. I have not been able to track down this Bible yet. Shewas born in G reene Co., IL in 1830's (nearer 1850).
His Grandma was Lucy Grizzle. She married Page Whitlock. Her parentswe re Rebecca Coonrod & Asa Grizzle. "
