Mrs. John S. Ingrum, Hugo, died at Jarman hospital at 6 p.m. FridaySep tember 8 at the age of 71. She had been ill for the past twoyears.
She had spent three weeks in the hospital in Decatur and then, wishingt o be nearer her home and friends. was brought to Jarman hospital aweek b efore her death.
Funeral services were conducted at Waddington funeral home at 2 p.m.on S unday, September 10, Rev J. R. McBride of Newman officiated, andmusic w as by Ted Cox.
Pall bearers were grandsons and the flower girls were granddaughters.B urial was in Hugo cemetery.
Mrs. Minne Myrtle Ingrum was born October 4, 1878, in Coles County.Her p arents were Jefferson And Mary West Collins. Her father diedwhen she w as quite young and at the age of 7, she came with hermother to live in H ugo, where she continued to reside the rest of herlife.
On December 12, 1894, she was united in marriage to John S. Ingrum.She w as active in the Hugo Community Church and the Hugo Jolly BunchClub. T he high regard in which she was held was evidenced by a hugearray of f loral offerings and a large attendance at her funeral.
She is survived by her husband , seven children, Mrs. Mary Gibson,Wave rly; Mrs. Lelia Moore, Chicago; Mrs. Ima Idleman, Hindsboro; Mrs.Dela F igely, Chicago; Crate Ingrum, Villa Grove; Paul Ingrum, Verden;and Joh n , Jr. Ingrum Camargo; and one sister, Mrs. Effie Todd, LosAngeles, C alifornia.
