(He had probably taken over his retired father'sfarm.) He h ad no wife, only children: Jacob, 7; Burril R, 6; andAlbert, 2. Livin g with them were his brother John, 28, and 18 yearold housekeeper, Mar y Smith.
6/15/1880 Same place. That year William was listed at age 40, Hehad r emarried to Mary, 27, and children in the house were Jacob, 18,Burrell , 16, and Louis, 1. Son Albert, 12, was counted with hisGrandfathr El liott. A few doors down the road was his father withbrother Thaddeus f arther down.
