"She raised 5 children, and when her daughter Euncie died she took herg randdaughter Mildred to raise. She cleaned other people's housesand d id laundry to keep food on the table. she never showed anyaffection f or any one, she never hugged or kissed any of her childrenor grandchil d. Rose felt that if she fed and clothed them and put aroof over thei r heads, that she was showing her lover. She didn'trealize that they n eeded her to say 'well done or I love you' or givethem a hug once in a w hile. Rose had lots of friends, even thoughthe only place she went wa s to church and to the cemetery to maintainthe graves."
The funeral was held at 2 PM on a Monday at the Parker-Hunsaker Chapelw ith Rev AM James officating. Pallbearers were Robert Ozmont, OttoNewm an, Howard Kingore, Thomas Wallace, Henry Blake, and Ted Copher.The bo dy lay in state at the home until 1 when it was removed to theChapel.
She was buried next to Levi and Sydney, the grave marked by a smallfla t stone.
