William and Rachel homesteaded in MN and when Rachel died, he took herb ody back to IL for burial and stayed.

1/16/1887 Vermilion Co, IL. He hosted a dinner at noon at whichUncle T homas Gundy was a guest, mentioning it in his diary later.

3/6/1887 Again from Thomas' diary: "Sunday....dinner at BillyYateses. "

Some list his death on 4/25/1895.
