William McGuire of Hampshire died testate in1789....leav ing widow, Rachel, sons, Robert and Francis, and othersons and daughte rs. William devised a tract which he had receivedfrom his father, Tho mas McGuire. Rachel had since died. Oratorbought the land from Rober t and Francis. William's other childrenwere, viz: thomas, james, nanc y, Jane, Peggy, Polly, Annis. James issince dead. Robert McGuire's a nswer in Ross County, Ohio. FrancisMcGuire answers in pendleton Count y. His grandfather, Thomas McGuireat a very early period had put his s on William in possession of theland, agreeing to make him a deed or de vise. William took possessionwhen first married and lived there until h is death. Thomas survivedWilliam and died testate, will dated 19th Ma y, 1792, and recorded inWashington County, Pennsylvania.
