"Concord (better known today as "Richwoods") Church was organizedSepte mber 4, 1831, by Thomas Frozier and wife, Absalom Kester andwife, and R ebecca Davis....

The church became a member of the Wabash District Association in 1832,a nd their messengers were John Bennett, Joseph Redman and IsaacDaughett e....

The church met in the homes of its members until a log house was builto n the plot of ground now used as the cemetery near the presentlocation . In 1853 a frame house 24 by 35 feet was built; it wasreplaced in 188 6 by a large brick building with dimensions of 36 by50 feet, which is s till in use."

9/3/1850 Richland Pct, Clark Co, IL. The census taker found hisfamil y living 2 doors down from sister, Rebecca and Francis Davis,and 4 doo rs from their parents. He as a farmer at age 44 with $1200in real est ate. Sally was 35 and the family consisted of severalchildren: Josep h, 16, John, 14, William, 12, Charlotte, 10, andEmily, 4. Next door w as son James.

1860 Westfield Twp, Clark Co, IL. He still lived 2 doors down fromRe becca's family so perhaps they never moved, only geographical linesshi fted. His property had grown to $5000/800 and living there was anAnn S tilwell, 12, born in OH, a granddaughter perhaps. Between himand the D avises was Basil Bennett, possibly a son. On the other sidewas son, J ames.
