Apparently she and Rubartus Guy were separated at census time in 1860a s Margaret was head of the house and Rubartus lived alone. Thatcensus r ecorded Margaret, 57, b VA, with only $40 in personalproperty, and liv ing with her were children Nancy Porter, 31, bornIN; Elizabeth Elliot, 2 6, and William T Guy, 20, both born in IL; andNancy's children, Rachel J , 10, and William, 3, born IL.
