The following items need to be sorted out as it is doubtful that thesa me man moved back & forth between TN & NC.
Residences & events:
10/15/1779 Hawkins Co, TN where he entered 400 acres on the northside o f Holston River, from the grant he received on 7/29/1793.
4/29/1780 He entered another 95 acres that was surveyed on 2/6/1782.
11/10/1784 He received another land grant.
1790 Caswell Co, NC. The census recorded Wyatt's family there butthe o riginal census is unavailable.
1800 Hillsborough, Caswell Co, NC. Wyatt's household at census timec onsisted of 2 males under 10 years of age, 1 was 10-15, 1 at 26-44,Wya tt, over 45, 2 females under 10, 2 were 10-15, 3 at 16-25, andprobably h is wife, also over 45. Next door neighbors were ObadiahHolloway and S evy Summers.
1810 Hawkins Co, TN. Robert bought 120 acres from William Childressf or $500.00.
1810 Caswell Co, NC. The census taker must have been hard ofhearing, r ecording Wyatt as Clyett, the only Stubblefield in thecounty.
His will, dated 7/1/1820, divided his property among his wife andchild ren.
