According to the "History of Mayesville and Mason County" Georgejoined h is brother Elijah in December 1784 at the Kenton's station atLimestone C reek.

George Berry and his family came fromKentons childh ood home area to settle at Limestone too, and whenGeorge's brother Eli jiah, who had come to Kentucky with the Kentonsheard about it, he move d his own family from Salt River to Limestoneto join him.
