Malone w as robbing the Snowqualmie Valley Bank with twoaccomplices, Ted Lashe a nd John or Jack Bench. Ted Lashe revealed theplans of the robbery to t he Sheriff before the robbery, and thesheriff and the deputies were wa iting for DC Malone. The plan was tocapture him alive. DC Malone and L ashe entered the bank while Benchstayed in the car. DC Malone told the c ashier "Hands Up" when heentered the bank with a 38 automatic revolver d rawn. The sheriff andhis deputies then appeared, and DC Malone commens ed firing. After 20to 30 shots in a 30 second period, 8 of which came f rom DC Malone,Malone was killed immediately with 12 shots in his body. L ashe washit 4 times, and he died later that nite.
