He was blind for the last 21 years of his life.
His will was written 7/9/1819 in Rutherford Co, NC and probated in1825 . In it he mentioned children, John, Archibald, nancy AgnesFelming, M artha Guffy, Mary Givens, Elizabeth Guffey, LettesseCochran, Fanny Hoo d and Jane Reid. No mention of a wife at thattime.
