Apparently Ann was an olny child no others were mentioned in herfather 's will.
A month after the death of her husband, she gave away some of theestat e he had left her;
To all Christian People whom it may and shall concern, I, ANN WHATLEY,t he relict of JOHN WHATLEY of the Isle of Wight County, Planter,decease d, out of tender affection I bear unto my children in thisDeed of Gift h ereafter mentioned, and for other considerations bestknown to myself, I d o give and bequeath after my decease as follows:
Impress: I give unto my eldest son, JOHN, one thousand pounds... andto m y second son, THOMAS, two thousand pounds... and to my daughter,ELIZAB ETH, two thousand pounds... and to my grandchild, ELIZ.WILLIAMS, the d aughter of JOHN WILLIAMS, one thousand pounds... towhich deed gift I h ave hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th day ofFeb. 1671.
