They lived on the waters of Lick Creek, probablybetween 1 st Creek and Flat Swamp. State Grant #2670 - at 30shillings the 100 a cres to William Dailey, 100 acres on Flat Swampand Buck Branch next to L eonard Smith and John Conger.

1790 Rowan Co, NC. He and son Lawrence were the only Dailys in theco unty that year at census time, Mary's father was also there.William's h ousehold included 1 male over 16, 3 males under 16, and 4females.
1794 Davidson Co, NC. William entered land there according to landre cords: The State Grants #2670, at 30 shillings the 100 acres toWillia m 100 acres Flat Swamp and Buck Branch next to Leonard Smithand John C onger. This piece of property was sold in 1816 bygrandson, Edmund Dai ly, son of Charles, who may have inherited it.Buyers were James and J oseph Cerick.
1800 Salisbury, Rowan Co, NC. That year the census recorded livingin W illiam's house: 2 males under 10, 1 at 10-25, William was over45, 2 fe male 16-25, and probably Mary, also over 45. He was the onlyDaily in t he county but there were several Palmers including Mary'sfather.
1810 The only William Daily/Dailey in NC that year lived at Hyde Cobu t he also lived there in 1800 so it was not this man.
1820 Where was he that year?
1830 St Maries Dist, Wake Co, NC. Was he the man living there atcens us time? He was 50-60 years old and had in the household 1female at 1 0-15, 2 at 20-30 and 1 was 60-70.
