Humphrey Chilcott Ensign, Captain Vaughan's Company August 26 1776.2nd L ieutenant, Captain Moore's Company February 4, 1777. 1stLieutenant Cap tain Merryman's Company August 30 1777 to 1778.

Colonel Thomas Grist's Battalion 1777 Baltimore County lists: 1stLieut enant Thomas Moore, 2nd Lieutenant Nicholas Merryman, EnsignHumphrey C hilcott, and Forty nine privates.

1780 Huntingdon Co, PA was where the first census taker found thefami ly and recorded: 1 male over 16, 3 under, and 6 females. Nextdoor wa s brother John with brother 2 doors beyond him, followed byJohn's son- in-law Benjamine Mackrell.
Letters of Administration in common form were granted to DarbyChilcote a nd Micajah Chilcote on the estate of Humphrey Chilcote,dec'd., invento ry to be exhibited the 28th day of January, next andan account fo thei r Administration on or before the 28th of December,1805 or when legall y required.
