Down the road wasGreenbury Gosnell, Mary's b rother, with Sarah Chilcote farther down.They were the only ones by t he Chilcote name in the county.

1840 Same place. That year Hethcote was 60-70 years old when thecens us taker found him. In the family were 1 male aged 15-20, 1female at 1 0-15, and 1 at 50-60. Two doors down was G G Chilcote,probably Greenb ury.
8/1/1844 OH He purchased another 70.88 acres.
8/23/1850 Franklin Twp, Morrow Co, OH. By the next census, thefamily h ad moved and children had left the nest. "Hethcoat" was 71,retired wi th $900 in real estate. Wife Mary was 63 and they livedalone. Next d oor neighbors were daughter Rhoda and Charles Jager andMary and John B aker, possibly another daughter. In the same countywere sons Nichodemu s and Greenberry.
