Connie Coy Rice wrote: "Woolery had a close association with the Coyf amily from the time their arrival in 1831. He and Jacob Halltraveled t o Greene Co. in 1834 to assist Adam (grandson of theSoleinger family t hat moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio with Jacob CoyJr. in 1801) and Sal ly Sullinger and their family to Tiffin Twp. TheSullinger family arriv ed on 8-18-1834."

"Woolery Coonrod, b. Aug. 19, 1787 [Pendleton Co., Virginia], d. Jan.3 , 1847, AE 49y 4m & 15 days[Tiffin Twp., Defiance Co., OH. Woolerywas t he son of Jacob Coonrod & Eve Vandevender of Virginia. He isburied wit h his 1st wife] Huldah (Partee), his wife, died Sep. 20,1834, AE 36y's 1 m & 28 days. [After her death he remarried myancestor Mary Polly Coy-C oonrod on Jan. 23, 1835 in Tiffin Twp. MaryPolly Jones/Coy/Coonrod was t he step-mother of Huldah's 5 children.Mary Polly's own children were a ll nearly grown and living on theirown near her and Woolory. Woolory m ust have been a good step-fatherto Mary Polly's children. When Mary's s on Adam Coy b. 1821, marriedMaria Caszett in 1839, they named their 3r d child Oliver Woolery Coy,after his step-father who had raised him si nce he was 14 yr. old.] "
1840 Springfield Twp, Williams Co, OH. That year his name wascorrect ed by the census taker. His household consisted of 2 malesaged 5-10, 1 a t 10-15, Woolery was 40-50, 2 females at 10-15, and 1female aged 50-60 . Two doors down was brother William Coonrod.
