"N. H. CLYMER, farmer and stock raiser, P. O. Mount Cory, was born ont he farm where he now resides, in Union Township, Hancock Co., Ohio,Nov ember 15, 1856, son of C. F. and Catharine (Knichleson) Clymer,latter a n ative of Pennsylvania; C. F. Clymer, our subject's father,a native of O hio, of English descent, was a farmer all his life, bornNovember 26, 1 821, and died July 25, 1878, aged fifty-six years. Hewas the son of Fr ancis Clymer and was twice marred; he had tenchildren by his first wif e and five by his second wife, and ten ofhis children grew to maturity . He was an active member of the UnitedBrethren Church for thirty year s. Our subject's grandfather, FrancisClymer, was an early pioneer of H ancock County, and entered the landwhere our subject was born and now r esides. N. H. Clymer, the subjectof this sketch, was reared on the far m, received a good Englisheducation, and chose farming as his occupati on. He is the owner of160 acres of land. February 6, 1881, Mr. Clymer w as united inmarriage with Eliza Whisler, of German descent, daughter o f David andMary Ann (Tobias) Whisler. Mr. and Mrs. Clymer have one chi ld living,Irvin L. Mrs. Clymer is a member of the United Brethren Chur ch. Inpolitics Mr. Clymer is a Republican. One of Mr. Clymer's brother slost his life in his country's cause during the late war."
