My g-grandfather [Stephen Douglas ARTHUR, b. 1860 Greene Co., Indiana]w as the youngest child of my gg-grandparents [John ARTHUR (b.ca. 1820KY ) & Anna Mariah (WATKINS) (b.ca 1819 TN)]. G-grandpa 'Doug', whowas in t he timber business, moved back & forth between Indiana andMissouri aft er his marriage in 1882.
In MO, G-grandpa Doug & his family lived in the general area ofGreenvi lle, Wayne Co [where my grandfather was born in 1885] &Hunter, Carter C o., MO, before moving to Alabama (Milport, LamarCounty & near Ethelsvi lle, Pickens County, AL)in the early 1900s.Eventually, he ended up in S outh Texas, where he died in 1938.
