He was a farmer. He received the Prairie Farmer master Farmer Awardfo r his efforts. In addition to his life's work, he served on theArthur s chool board, was a village trustee, member of the Moultrie &Illinois g rain co-ops, and was a former Prudential Insurance Co farmmanager, amo ng other activities.
Charles and his wife died within 3 days of each other and had a doublef uneral at the United Methodist Church, Arthur, IL, with Rev RayOwens o fficiating.
