Philip was a brother to David and half brother to Adam Firebaugh, botho f whom also married Van Gundy girls.

1806--8 Ross Co, OH. He was one of the early settlers there.

"Between 1806 and 1810, the settlement was increased by the arrival ofG eorge Stanhope, Lawrence Russell. John Russell, Philip Feirbaugh,Antho ny Raypholtz (now known as Raypole), James Armsey and JosephMoore. The t wo last named came about 1810, and the others earlier."
1810-12 Philip, as a United Brethren, was an early member of theEatha m church organized then. "The church stood in the western partof the t ownship in the valley of the Little Walnut."
